German FA to snub Thomas Tuchel and will wait for Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

The German FA will snub Thomas Tuchel in favour of waiting for Jurgen Klopp when it comes to appointing their next international boss.

Hansi Flick has been left clinging to his job following the Germans' embarrassing exit from the World Cup. The four-time champions have headed home after failing to get through the group stages of Qatar 2022 for the second time in succession.

The German FA are willing to stick with Flick for the time being, but accept he is not the long-term solution when it comes to making the team competitive again.

And despite Tuchel being available following his sacking by Chelsea in September, German FA president Bernd Neuendorf has made Klopp his No.1 choice to be the next boss.

Klopp signed a new deal with Liverpool in April that runs until 2026. But Neuendorf is willing to wait however long it takes to land Klopp.

Klopp has a strong bond with Liverpool, having ended their 30-year wait for a league title as well as winning the Champions League in 2019.

Who would make the better international manager – Tuchel or Klopp? Let us know in the comments section below.

But his future has become less than certain in recent months following news the club is up for sale, while the team is struggling to compete for the title this season.

It's understood Neuendorf believes Tuchel would be too high maintenance, while the former Paris Saint German boss is believed to have a difficult relationship with the federation.

Tuchel, who won the Champions League with Chelsea within six months of taking charge, has also let it be known he thinks the German FA needs to undergo a period of restructuring – and would be reluctant to accept the job even if he was offered it.
