Gareth Bale has ‘signed a pre-agreement’ to rejoin Tottenham this summer, according to reports. Bale spent last season on loan at Tottenham before returning to Real Madrid. But his contract with Real comes to an end this summer so looks set for a third spell in north London.
Bale has made just three appearances in La Liga so far this season, scoring one goal.
The Welshman has struggled with injury and fitness concerns in recent campaigns.
He appeared 20 times in the Premier League last term, scoring 11 goals in the process.
But Spurs opted against signing him on a permanent deal or another loan.

Bale has not made more than 30 league appearances in a season since the 2014/15 campaign.
But with Wales hoping to be at the World Cup in Qatar later this year, the winger understandably would want to go into the tournament with games behind his belt.
And Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb says Bale has already signed an agreement to rejoin Spurs once his Real contract comes to an end.
Bale will get a signing-on bonus from Tottenham due to the absence of a transfer fee.

His return may not be music to the ears of all Spurs fans.
During his second spell at the club, the 32-year-old confirmed his plan was always to return to Madrid, claiming the main reason for the move back to England was to get him ready for Euro 2020.
But his former team-mate Jamie O’Hara claimed those comments were disrespectful to Tottenham.
O’Hara said on talkSPORT last March: “I don’t think he’s meaning to be disrespectful for Spurs and Spurs fans, because he’s done so well there over the years… but it was disrespectful.
“As a Spurs fans we all loved him. In terms of what he’s done for Spurs, you can’t take away the fact he was ‘the’ guy for Spurs for a while, he was amazing.
“But has he tarnished his legacy?”
Tottenham are on their second permanent manager since Bale’s departure.
Nuno Espirito Santo was brought to the club last summer but only lasted four months.
Antonio Conte was brought in to replace Nuno and has steadied the ship.
However, Spurs face a tough battle to finish inside the Premier League top four.
Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat to Southampton put a big dent in their Champions League qualification hopes.
