Gakpo’s stunning model WAG celebrates at Anfield as her beau nets vs Man Utd

Cody Gakpo is the man of the moment for Liverpool after scored twice in their 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United – and his stunning WAG was in the stands to witness his star showing.

The Dutchman scored the opening goal with a superb right-footed effort just before half-time before adding arguably an even better strike to make it 3-0 after the break. Gakpo received a pass from Andy Robertson before cutting inside past Raphael Varane and firing into the bottom corner to break the deadlock.

After Darwin Nunez had doubled Liverpool's advantage two minutes into the second half, Gakpo then grabbed his brace just three minutes later as he produced a delicate chip over David de Gea following Mohamed Salah's pass. The forward is beginning to show his quality after a difficult start to life on Merseyside, where he has been joined by beautiful girlfriend Noa van der Bij.

Noa was in the crowd at Anfield and posted a picture from the stands to her Instagram stories ahead of the crunch fixture. She has been with Gakpo for much of his career and followed her beau to England following his transfer from PSV Eindhoven in January.

Noa works as a junior booker for Cachet Models having previously completing studies in management at Avans University of Applied Sciences. She boasts quite the following on Instagram too, with almost 37,000 people keeping up with her posts.

Her recent updates include frequent posts with Gakpo, including one captioned: "New beginnings," after their move to the UK. There were also several pictures during the World Cup where Noa followed her boyfriend's exploits on the field for the Netherlands as he scored three goals to convince Liverpool to make their move.

He failed to score in his first six appearances for Liverpool amid their slump, prompting criticism and questions over whether Jurgen Klopp had signed the wrong player, including from Jamie Carragher who admitted he was "baffled" by the transfer. "Gakpo is not a typical Klopp signing, lacking lightning pace and the capacity to lead a high press," Carragher had said in his Telegraph column.

"Why commit up to £45 million on someone who will be on the bench when [Luis] Diaz and Diogo Jota are fit? Especially when another area of the team needed strengthening?"

But two goals in as many games against Everton and Newcastle provided encouragement, with Gakpo's latest brace against United surely set to silence the critics.
