Furious Pickford branded ‘manchild’ and even told to calm down by Sean Dyche
Jordan Pickford has been labelled a 'manchild' by football fans as he was involved in a bust-up during Everton's clash with West Ham.
The Hammers' Mohammed Kudus was on the end of a tough tackle from Janes Tarkowski in the first half when things boiled over at the London Stadium. As the Ghanaian lay on the ground and other players started to scuffle, Pickford raced off his line to confront Kudus.
Pickford was then seen squaring up to Edson Alvarez, with Sean Dyche even having to tell his goalkeeper to calm down. Football fans have called him a "manchid" on social media after the furious exchange.

"Pickford is a manchild," one fan fumed. While a second replied: "Who does he think he is?"
"Notice how quick Kudus goes from being hurt to being completely fine after Pickford has a go at him and shoves him a little," a third fumed. And another added: "No wonder the games gone to s*** when a brilliant challenge has people calling for a red card!"

Pickford earned himself a yellow card for his troubles, and ex-Arsenal defender Perry Groves, who was commentating on talkSPORT, noted that the referee might not have given a foul: "I think it was given as offside as Tarkowski’s come into the back of Kudus," he said.
"Pickford’s got himself involved for no reason and run 20-yards. It was a lot of pushing and shoving, playground stuff.”
Everton went into the match at the London Stadium in desperate need of three points, not helped by the looming threat of a points deduction coming their way.
