One Fantasy Premier League player has claimed more than 200 points already.

With Erling Haaland netting for fun, Manchester United dropping stinkers and plenty of red card controversy, the Premier League is certainly back in full flow. With that comes the millions of statisticians looking to cement their own place in history by winning FPL – 9,826,313 of them to be exact.

But one hopeful, an Indonesian player with the team name Kessipa Adammu, is already a cut above the rest this season. That is thanks to a brave decision to activate their triple captain in just the second gameweek.

We’re not quite sure what provoked ‘Ari Sutpratno Candra Wibowo’ to go with Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo as his triple captain so early on – but it certainly paid off.

Mbeumo’s glory was our FPL high-flyer’s gain, netting two goals against west London rivals Fulham on Saturday. The Cameroonian scored a penalty at Craven Cottage to take his side 2-0 up, before completing his brace in stoppage time.

A triple-captained Mbeumo therefore earned a whopping 48 points alone. Solly March, Pervis Estupinan and Martin Odegaard would provide a respectable supporting cast, contributing 37 points between them.

And despite losing out on 10 points with benched players, the FPL hopeful was still able to register 106 points for Gameweek 2, taking his total to 205. That puts them top of the global leaderboard and three points ahead of second place, an Indian user by the name of Arush Semwal – team name KDB Goat.

Yet they certainly shouldn’t be getting their hopes up yet, with the season being a long and arduous one. The 2022/23 FPL season winner was Arsenal fan Ali Jahangirov.

The Azerbaijani first took the lead in Gameweek 28. He lost it for several weeks before returning to the top in Gameweek 33, and never looked back.
