Former Man Utd target Franck Kessie ‘prioritising transfer to Premier League’

Manchester United's former £40-million rated target Franck Kessie is eyeing a move to the Premier League when his contract expires with Serie A giants AC Milan at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old will be free to speak to clubs in January about a proposed move to England having already rejected Milan's approach over a new deal at the San Siro.

Kessie is a reported target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the Red Devils also undergoing their own player contract problems; Paul Pogba is yet to pen a new deal at Carrington with rumours the Frenchman would prefer a move to PSG.

Jesse Lingard's contract is also set to expire at the end of the season.

90min allege that Kessie will decide his long-term future in January with several Premier League clubs asking his representatives to keep them informed with any updates.

The midfielder would prefer a move to England is high on his agenda as he believes the style of footballer would suit his capabilities.

Man United, Liverpool, Leicester, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal are all credited with an interest in the Ivorian who would be available on a free transfer.

AC Milan have not yet given up their pursuit of keeping their star man though and are set to return to the table with an improved contract offer before the winter window opens.

The Rossoneri also lost Gianluigi Donnarumma on a free transfer last summer with the Italian moving to PSG and are desperate to not let another key player leave for nothing.
