Football punter bags £30k from acca of eight draws after 94th-minute equaliser

A football punter managed to turn a £2 into the best part of £30,000 after successfully predicting eight draws across the EFL on his weekend accumulator.

Reeco Hackett-Fairchild’s 94th minute equaliser against Plymouth Argyle secured a late draw for Portsmouth and a potentially life changing sum of money for one lucky accumulator connoisseur. His finish in the dying seconds was the eighth and final draw the punter predicted on his weekend accumulator.

The late drama at Fratton Park means one supporter will have an extra £29,828.61 in his bank account to work with. They successfully predicted four stale mates in the Championship, three from League One, and one result from the Scottish Premiership.

In fact, those were the only draws across all three domestic competitions. Whether or not the punter's success came as a result of a sneaky crystal ball remains to be seen.

But one thing for certain is that they will certainly have plenty of extra funds to play with. "There were eight draws in total in the Saturday 3pms across the Championship, League One and the Scottish Premiership, and our punter has managed to pick them all out,” Alex Apati of Ladbrookes said. “That'll take some beating as one of the most impressive bets we've seen this season."

"If Reeco Hackett didn't have his own fan club before Saturday's game, we've no doubt he almost definitely does now!" Recco Hackett’s late goal was not the only dramatic conclusion which helped the punter bag the fortune.

His audacious accumulator also looked destined to fail on Sheffield Wednesday’s home clash against Ipswich Town. Wednesday were trailing 2-0 courtesy of goals from Kayden Jackson and an own goal from Dominic Iorfa.

However, a 75th minute strike from George Byers halved the deficit, before Michael Smith popped up in the dying stages to secure an unlikely draw. If you want to see how the punter secured his new riches, have a peep at the bet slip in full below.
