Football fans stunned as Lazio’s keeper bags last min ‘bullet header’ in Europe
Lazio's shot-stopper Ivan Provedel left football fans stunned when he was the Italian side's unlikely hero against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
The Rome-based side had fallen behind in the first half of their Group E game on Tuesday evening when Pablo Barrios found the net for Diego Simeone's team. And Atleti started to shut up shop as they dug deep for the win.
With the game deep into stoppage time, and the clock ticking down, Provedel went to join the attack for a Lazio free-kick. Luis Alberto fired the ball into the mixer and Provedel powered his header beyond Jan Oblak.

"That Lazio keeper's goal is actually a joke… He's timed that run into the box and bullet header like prime Cristiano," one fan joked. While a second shared: "Nah no way I just saw Lazio goalkeeper score a bullet header at the death. The UCL is something special man!"
"The run he makes is so good. Only player on the move," a third said. And another added: "Better movement than most Premier League strikers!"

Provedel is the fourth keeper to have found the net in the Champions League. Jorg Butt has scored from the spot for three German teams – Hamburg, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich – while Vincent Enyeama once scored a penalty for French outfit Olympique Lyonnais.
Sinan Bolat is the only other goalkeeper to have scored from open play, when his header helped Dutch side AZ Alkmaar secure a 1-1 draw with Belgium's Standard Liege.
