Football fan loses wallet on the tube – and has it returned by Alan Curbishley
A football fan has shared a brilliant story about former Premier League manager Alan Curbishley finding his wallet on the tube.
Walsall FC fan Oli Swift had the all-too-common displeasure of losing his wallet on the London Underground. But to his immense shock, it was found by none other than former West Ham and Charlton boss Curbishley.
In a heart-warming gesture, the 65-year-old noticed he supported Walsall and sent the lost item to Bescot Stadium in the West Midlands.

Oli tweeted: “Alan Curbishley, of all people, found my wallet on the tube in London and sent it to Bescot. What a bloke.”
To his surprise, Curbishley had also left him a note with the words: “Dear Oliver, hope this finds you well. I found your wallet on a tube in London.
“Hopefully it has not caused you too much stress! Now you can get in to see your team!! Best wishes, Alan Curbishley.”
The tweet has since been viewed 360,000 times, with many users sharing their admiration for Curbishley.
One fan tweeted: “I would expect no less from the great man,” while another wrote: “Class from gaffer.”
A third added: “Doesn't Curbs seem just the most likely manager to go out of his way to return a lost wallet? I'd back Steve Cooper from the current crop.”
Curbishley, from east London, started his career at West Ham before going on to play for Charlton and Brighton. He managed the Addicks for 15 years before taking charge at Upton Park for two years.
