Female football fan strips to underwear in stands with message for ex-Prem star

A female football fan stripped to her underwear in the stands while holding a message to a former Premier League star.

Mouritz Bauer, 29, spent half a season in the English top-flight with Stoke, arriving from Rubin Kazan in January 2018 – five months before their relegation.

After loans at Celtic and Russian Premier League side Ufa, the defender decided to head to Eastern Europe permanently in July.

And it seems that Bauer has gained a young female fan from his move, with the supporter taking extreme action to get noticed in the stands.

Identified as Azalea, the fan was wearing shorts and a tank top at the BetBoom Arena for Ufa’s 1-1 draw with Lokomotiv Moscow on August 6.

As soon as the final whistle went, though, she stripped down to some purple underwear before holding up a sign.

Written in Russian, Azalea’s sign read: "Bauer, give me your t-shirt, it's cold."

The 29-year-old did not respond to the message on the day – but he did invite the female fan to the team’s training ground on Tuesday morning.

Azalea’s full-time strip was not the most dramatic thing to happen on the day, though, in a match filled with incident.

Ufa took the lead against Lokomitv in the third additional minute of first-half time when Dmitri Barinov conceded a penalty.

Catching Filip Mrzljak on the left side of the box, a VAR review showed he did not get the ball – and the midfielder received a second yellow to leave the pitch.

Oleg Ivanov slotted from the spot for a half-time lead but the visitors were left on 73 minutes through Vitali Lisakovich’s thunderous effort.

Bauer made 26 appearances for Stoke between 2018 and 2019 before heading to Celtic on loan, saying he wanted a new challenge.

And the Swiss star had a big smile as he posed with Azalea for a photo, posing with a purple shirt from the supporter as she held his shirt.

The Ufa fan, though, is not the first to show some skin in celebration of a football team’s success.
