Fans wince as Spurs’ Emerson Royal screams after football smashes his privates
Emerson Royal put his precious place right in the line of fire in Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 victory against Wolves.
Harry Kane’s 250th goal for Spurs helped secured a vital three points against Bruno Lage’s side. The England captain is hitting his Premier League groove earlier than usual, following up his dramatic equaliser against Chelsea with another header against the Midlanders.
Antonio Conte’s side have Kane to thank for their current second place position, as his goals against Chelsea and Wolves have secured four points in two games for Spurs. Yet his goal was not even the most heroic act performed by a Tottenham player.

That gong belongs to Brazilian right-wing-back Emerson Royal. The former Barcelona man put his body and other future generations of Royals when he threw himself in the way of a fast moving ball.
Unfortunately for him, the ball made direct contact in his very private area, reducing him to a crumpled heap on the ground. Tottenham fans, and possibly every fan watching the game, collectively winced when the ball connected.
Understandably, Royal let out quite a significant scream after he absorbed the ball’s speed. Fortunately, it was all worth it as he helped Tottenham hold onto a second win of the new campaign.

And Tottenham fans stood in solidarity with the Brazilian on social media after his act of footballing valour. "Emerson Royal are you okay? I heard your scream from my house," said one fan on social media.
"Emerson Royal isn't having kids any time soon," another added recognising the risk he was taking. "Emerson got it in the Royals there," one other supporter posted.
Fortunately, it was all worth it as Spurs kept their first clean sheet of the campaign and moved to second, albeit playing one more game to everybody else.
