Boxing announcer Michael Buffer worth almost double AJ and Tyson Fury combined

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury may be two of the biggest stars in boxing, but Michael Buffer blows both of them out of the water in terms of net worth.

The legendary boxing announcer has been 'getting ready to rumble' for 39 years, and has amassed a net worth of $400million (£338m) while being known as the 'voice of boxing'. Fury has supposedly hung up his gloves although no one can ever be really sure, and sits on a net worth of £130m after an undefeated career.

Joshua on the other hand has a net worth of approximately £67.1m, meaning that Buffer has a far greater wealth than the two British fighters combined. Joshua is set to more than double his worth following his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, but even with the healthy purse, Buffer is still clear.

Buffer is known for being perhaps the greatest ring announcer of all-time, and has been covering boxing and wrestling for over half of his life. Buffer started his role at the age of 38, after previously serving in the Vietnam war before becoming a car salesman and a model.

The announcer has been the main man in his field ever since 1982, but signed his biggest deal in 2018 after DAZN secured his services for all big events on their platform. Fury's wealth comes from the money he made in his trilogy bouts with Wilder, as well as his last bout with Whyte. In those fights alone he made just short of £100m.

Joshua is set to double his net worth with the purse from his highly-anticipated world heavyweight title rematch against Usyk. According to talkSPORT, the base money for the rematch will be a split with Joshua set to earn £63m, with sponsorship and bonus money could see the total rise to £100m.

The biggest pay day of Joshua's career also came in Saudi Arabia, which is the location for his rematch with Usyk. £66million was earned when he reclaimed his titles from Andy Ruiz Jr after losing to the Mexican at Madison Square Garden.

Joshua is looking to avenge his defeat to Usyk too, after the Ukrainian won via a majority decision at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The British boxer was outclassed by Usyk, who has weighed in over ten kilograms lighter than Joshua once again.

Many expected the fighters to be closer in weight ahead of Saturday's bout, with Usyk looking visibly larger than last time. But it was clearly an illusion, as he was only four pounds heavier than last time.
