Fans think they know who masked Prem rapper is – who promises to share identity
An anonymous Premier League star has released a rap song – and fans think they know who it is.
The player-turned-music artist dropped track 'Thrill' under the alias 'Dide' last week, with a professionally shot music video featuring them wearing a mask decorated in roses uploaded to YouTube. They announced the track on Instagram back in February.
At that time, the account wrote: "Rapper at Home, footballer on the pitch!!! Premier League footballer jumps in the UK music industry. Keeping his identity unknown by wearing a uniquely designed mask, that is covered in roses. He goes by the name of Dide."

With the video being filmed in London and the player having an accent from the capital, it's sparked several suggestions – including Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, who has previously expressed an interest in rapping but gave up.
He told kicca.com back in 2017: “There’s no way of keeping up with how fast Eminem used to rap, but I used to try now and then. I could never rap. I attempted to, but I thought: ‘No, this ain’t for me’. I just left the artists to it.”
Based on the lyrics, Twitter users then narrowed down it to an Arsenal player. "My team stay winning," fits the Premier League leaders, although they have now drawn two games on the trot.

"They're gonna put it in the paper," was highlighed as a play on words of the Gunners, while "every single game like a final" sums up the rest of the season for Mikel Arteta's men.
Many thought it sounded like Bukayo Saka, while Reiss Nelson was another popular suggestion. But a bar of "I'm seeing seven figures", as well as pose of pointing to the sky, appeared to settle the debate.
Back-up striker Eddie Nketiah last year signed a new deal believed to be worth £5.2million a year, while his celebration looks extremely like said pose.
Dide is also an anagram of Eddi, further fuelling the speculation. Other lyrics previously uploaded to the Instagram point to it being Nketiah too.
"Young star and I feel like Foden," adds up, as does a jibe at rivals Tottenham – "I need me a goal like the Spurs need Kane". And "left school when I was 14" seems to a clear indication as it lines up with when he joined Arsenal.
It might not be long until Dide's identity is confirmed as in the early hours of Monday (April 17) morning, they posted on their Instagram story: "Ok if everyone wants to know who I really am. I will release my next music video with no mask if I get 50k YouTube subscribers."
The account currently only has 1.93k subscribers, but that number will likely skyrocket as the song gains more traction in the coming days.
