Bundesliga fans went crazy when Borussia Monchengladbach ace Kouadio Kone nut-megged a pitch invader.

Whether you like them or not, pitch invaders have become a very regular sight in football. Whether it is scantily clad supporters desperate to get their bits out, overzealous fans determined to get the most awkward selfie of all time, or protesters, armed with cable ties, bee-lining for the goalposts, pitch invaders seem to be getting onto the pitch on a weekly basis.

As annoying as it is when a counter attack is ended by a fan stumbling onto the hallowed turf, everybody, even if they refuse to admit it, enjoys the chase between steward and fan. However, Kone made the pursuit even more memorable.

As a central midfielder, Kone has always needed to have eyes in the back of his head. His vision and on-pitch awareness has made the 21-year-old a very exciting prospect.

And he proved, in truly exquisite fashion, his ability to sense impending opposition, is second to very few. At the end of the game, Kone had the ball at his feet when he was on his way to embrace the Hoffenheim players.

However, with one slight glance over his shoulder, he saw a marauding pitch invader stampeding in his direction. Not to worry, Kone remained cool and waited for the slim fit jean wearing specimen from the stands to enter his vicinity.

With a slight drag back, a flip and then a flap, Kone prodded the ball straight through his legs. The pitch invader did not come back for a second bite of the cherry as a steward, cloaked in high visibility gear, was in hot pursuit.

It was a wonderful piece of trickery from the audacious 21-year-old. Kone is yet to make his senior debut for France but he already has six international appearances for their U21s side.

With close control and wizardry like that, it will not be too long until Didier Deschamps comes calling.
