Everton vs Man City LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Premier League fixture tonight
Everton are taking on Manchester City at Goodison Park this evening hoping to pull off a shock and boost their Champions League ambitions. The Toffees have been going well this season and currently sit seventh, five points behind the top four with two games in hand. However, defeat by Fulham last time out has stilted the momentum slightly, as has an injury to top goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and one of those games in hand is tonight against the runaway league leaders.
City have their own lofty ambitions and can open up a 10-point lead at the top of the table over chasers Manchester United and Leicester City with victory here. Pep Guardiola’s side have been in scintillating form of late and although they have been hit by an injury to Ilkay Gundogan, there is more positive news with Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero nearing returns to action.
Follow all the action from the game at Goodison Park below, after the conclusion of Burnley vs Fulham.

BURNLEY 0-1 FULHAM
49’: GOAL! The away side take the lead! A series of half-touches from Fulham players ends in Brady slicing the ball into his own net from Fulham’s corner.
The goal surely has to go down as a Brady own goal.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
48’: Second yellow card of the game, and it goes to Robbie Brady, who has only been on the pitch about 10 minutes.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
46’: Second half kicks off!
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
HT: A sum total of two shots on target from both sides in that half.
This could be a slender 1-0 win to either side, you imagine.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
HT: Half time at Turf Moor.
A feisty 45 minutes but one lacking in overall quality. It was a half indicative of where both sides are in the table at the moment. But it must be said that this was a game that was never going to be one for the footballing purist.
The home side looked the more threatening, with Scott Parker’s side hoping to hit on the counter, but a lack of quality in the final third has meant little action in either penalty area. Let’s hope for a better second half.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
41’: An ambitious strike from Mario Lemina, who attempts a first-time volley from the edge of the area direct from a corner. The technique was good, but the control wasn’t, and the ball flies over the bar.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
39’: And indeed his evening is over. Gudmundsson walks straight down the tunnel, and is replaced by Robbie Brady.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
38’: Gudmundsson looks to be in real trouble here, and his evening could be cut short. He dropped to the ground after an innocuous challenge.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
36’: A bit of niggling going on between multiple sets of players. Expect more yellow cards by the end of the game.
BURNLEY 0-0 FULHAM
34’: Areola once again looking vulnerable when dealing with corners, as he fails to adequately clear the ball after committing to come out of his goal to win it.
