Everton fans demand Richarlison replaces Benitez after coaching video emerges

Everton fans have demanded star striker Richarlison replaces under-fire Rafa Benitez as the club’s manager after a video emerged of the Brazilian coaching a team in a Liverpool park.

The Toffees posted a video of the action on social media, with Richarlison donning a suit to take charge of a group of friends in what appeared to be a five-a-side game.

His side all wore Everton’s white away kit, with the players facing the sidelines for a pre-match anthem and Richarlison standing with his arms in his pockets.

The Everton star then delivered a pre-match team talk to his troops, with the Champions League anthem playing on a stereo in the background.

He delivered his instructions in Portuguese in a lively manner and clearly new what he wanted his side to do in a tactical sense.

At half-time, Richarlison took another team-talk and made several adjustments, though had to lower his voice as the opposition walked behind him.

Those adjustments and the team-talk clearly worked wonders, with the final 30 seconds of the video dedicated to the celebrations of Richarlison’s team.

The manager joined in with those celebrations as his team formed a line and jumped along as they cheered.

The winning team then gathered in a final huddle, which Richarlison led, before they did a final cheer of celebration.

The video and the win for Richarlison’s men has led to many Everton fans demanding the Brazilian replace Benitez in the Goodison Park dugout.

“Better manager than Rafa,” one fan noted.

“Can he manage the first team?” another supporter asked.

“The Everton job should be up for grabs soon Richarlison if you fancy a player coach role. #benitezout,” a third fan asked.

“Petition to have Richarlison take over from Rafa Benitez with immediate effect. Not even joking,” a fourth demanded.

The Toffees are currently a lowly 14th in the Premier League, having won just one of their last 11 games, with pressure on Benitez mounting.
