Everton ace Richarlison told to "look at himself" after goading Liverpool fans
Richarlison needs to 'look at himself' after not having the 'best season in the world' for Everton – rather than taking swipes at rivals Liverpool.
That is the view of former Reds defender Jose Enrique, who has fired back at the Brazil international following his social media post in the aftermath of the Champions League final. Jurgen Klopp's side failed in their bid to secure a cup treble after a narrow defeat to Real Madrid at the Stade de France.
Liverpool controlled possession and registered 24 shots, but were unable to find a way past former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Vinicius Jr scored the only goal of the contest, meaning the Reds' unprecedented quadruple tilt ended with two trophies after their Carabao Cup and FA Cup successes.
Prior to the showpiece Paris final, social media was awash with claims Everton fans set up a fake coach company to dupe travelling rival fans, with Coach Innovations Limited owned by a Mr Richard Arlison in a nod to the Toffees forward. The fake story was swiftly debunked, but that did not stop Richarlison from sharing a meme with his face photoshopped on a coach driver following Liverpool's defeat.
It is the latest in a line of swipes from Richarlison directed against the red-half of Merseyside, with the 25-year-old posting a GIF after Klopp's side were pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City. The forward also took aim at former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, telling the pundit to 'wash your mouth out' after being criticised.
Enrique has urged Richarlison to focus on his own game and his own club, with Everton narrowly avoiding relegation following another turbulent campaign. Richarlison registered 11 goals and five assists in all competitions, but the former defender believes the forward should be 'worrying' about his own performances rather than the Reds.

Speaking to Genting Casino, Enrique said: “Richarlison should look at himself. His team was nearly relegated and Everton spent even more than Liverpool in transfer fees. I believe he should look at his team and I see him and Gary Neville riling up fans.
“I know Gary Neville does it with Jamie Carragher and I know he’s a legend for Man United, but Richarlison getting involved when he didn’t have the best season in the world, he should be worrying more about himself. He’s not clever for getting involved.”
