Erik ten Hag to unleash fearsome front four as Man Utd take on Chelsea
Just one more point for Manchester United to guarantee Champions League football. And they could not wish for opposition flatlining quite as badly as Frank Lampard’s Chelsea who have one win in their last 12 and only two league away wins in the league all season. In contrast, United are unbeaten in 28 at home since a dead rubber defeat against Sociedad in early September. This is the team Express Sport expects the United boss to pick to get his side over the line with a game to spare.
Goalkeeper – David De Gea
Old Golden Gloves himself. Backing up his win from 2017-18, the United goalkeeper landed a second GG award with 17 clean sheets this season. Yes, there has been the odd blunder along the way and yes, Ten Hag appears to want a goalkeeper better with his feet. But De Gea remains a formidable shot stopper.
Defenders – Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Lindelof, Shaw
Raphael Varane returned from a foot injury which had kept him out for seven games against Wolves and played the full 90 against Bournemouth. Victor Lindelof is trusted more than Harry Maguire to partner in the absence of Lisandro Martinez. With plenty still at stake these four can expect a rest against Fulham on Sunday if the point gets a top four.
Midfield – Casemiro, Eriksen
Pretty much picks itself when fit this pairing could also be rested against Fulham (with Fred and Scott McTominay probably coming in) if Ten Hag’s outfit get the job done tonight.
Up front – Antony, Fernandes, Sancho, Rashford
Rashford’s presence up top is not guaranteed but Ten Hag suggested he was close to a return from hamstring and illness problems which ruled him out of two games.

“He returned to training (Tuesday) and he looks quite fit but we have to see Wednesday what is the outcome of the training, how did we recover and then we will make our choices,” said the United boss.
Martial could cover if he is not fit.
