Fenerbahce forward Enner Valencia has agreed to join Brazilian side Internacional at the end of the season, but a ‘confidentiality clause’ in the player’s new contract has prevented the club from announcing the signing, according to reports.
The Ecuador star, who has netted 23 goals in 30 matches across all competitions for Fenerbahce this season, only has five months left on his contract in Istanbul and has reportedly secured a move back to South America at the end of the campaign.
However, no announcement has yet been made by either club and those believed to be involved in the negotiation have flagrantly denied the impending transfer.
Valencia, who played for West Ham, Everton and Tigres before moving to Fenerbahce in 2020, has emerged a fan favourite at the Turkish club, boasting a fruitful goals record as captain.
The striker has bagged a goal every other game for Fenerbahce since arriving at the club, netting 49 times in 98 appearances so far, and is currently the Super Lig’s top scorer this term, netting 20 times in 23 league games.
