Dalot hails Cristiano Ronaldo for teaching Man Utd stars three crucial things
Diogo Dalot has praised Cristiano Ronaldo for teaching Manchester United players several things since he arrived last year.
The defender had played with his Portuguese compatriot at the international level before Ronaldo made the £12.5million move to Old Trafford before the start of the season. And Dalot listed off some of the benefits Ronaldo made for him and the other young players since coming into the fold at United.
The 23-year-old told Sky Sports: "I'm sure I speak not just for me but he's been one of the most positive things about this season. To work with somebody who has his culture of working, his professionalism, his mentality and being close to him now… it's been very helpful for me and my career.
"I don't have any more compliments to give about the way he works, he's a fantastic human being as well. The numbers are there, the stats are there, so we're obviously very happy to have him here."
Anthony Elanga, who has enjoyed a breakout season with United this campaign, also lauded the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for his influence on the youngsters in the dressing room.

The Swede said to the Manchester United official site: “He knows what it takes to get to the top so it's more than right to just speak to someone like that. And yeah, we have a chat the day before or even during a game. You might see us in the warm-up.
"He'll speak to me and Sancho together about what we can do in the game, to affect the games – and it's important to have someone like that in the team. He is someone I look up to and speak to and ask for advice and stuff. He is a special player to work with."
Ronaldo, 37, has been criticised this season for not adding enough to his game other than goals, while his future at the side is tentative despite signing a two-year deal in 2021. Ajax manager Erik ten Hag will be taking over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick in the summer – and it’s not clear yet whether the Dutchman would be willing to play each week.
