Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister shares cryptic update on Man Utd transfer saga

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has posted a bizarre message on Instagram regarding the Manchester United star’s future.

Ronaldo has made his mind up on leaving Old Trafford this summer according to various reports. The 37-year-old has also not travelled to Asia with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour due to ‘family reasons’.

The forward secured a dream £20million return to United last summer from Juventus, but the club’s struggles last season and lack of big signings in the postseason have frustrated him beyond repair. And the Portuguese superstar could now leave as he did back in 2009 in light of his sister Katia Aveiro’s cryptic post.

Katia was asked by an Instagram user "Cristiano will stay [in] Manchester?" before hitting back with a fiery response: "I suggest some glasses… a span of brain or else learn to read haaa and notion."

While not being the clearest of replies, it appeared to be the outspoken Aveiro’s way of encouraging the Instagram user to read the room, due to the situation being particularly obvious.

Ronaldo himself enjoyed a stellar individual season last campaign after 12 years away from the Premier League. He netted 24 goals across all competitions but was unable to galvanise a calamitous Red Devils side which finished sixth in the league under three different managers.

He has since been left even more frustrated by United cutting his wages by 25%, which they also did with every other member of the squad after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Ronaldo was involved in United’s promotional content for the launch of their newly-released home kit. However the footage of him alongside club legends David Beckham and Eric Cantona is yet to be released, with sponsors Adidas waiting for his future to first be clarified.
