Cristiano Ronaldo names two performances among his greatest-ever games
Cristiano Ronaldo has made over 1000 appearances and scored just under 700 goals in a 19-year-career which seen him win more medals than Uncle Albert and break more records than a Greek waiter does plates.
After all that time, you might be forgiven for thinking the 36-year-old Portuguese superstar doesn’t have favourites moments or particular matches that standout in his mind – but you’d be wrong.
Even amongst the three Premier League titles, two La Liga triumphs, two Serie A wins and five Champions League successes, Ronaldo is still able to pinpoint two games that standout above all the rest.
The Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus great was asked whether there any individual performances that he considers to be the greatest of his career to date.
Ronaldo, Official Global Brand Ambassador for LiveScore, said: “As I’ve mentioned before, it’s so difficult to mention just one performance having played well in so many games.
“It is really hard to choose, but I would say the games where you score three or even four goals are always special.
“For example, I’ll always remember my hat-trick for Portugal against Spain in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.”
“The games that I remember the most are always the finals, like the UEFA Champions League Final 2017 vs my current club Juventus F.C., where I scored two goals.
“It is really hard to choose just one performance because I have been lucky to play in so many games.”
