Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has criticised the lack of American fans in attendance as his national side beat Morocco in a World Cup warm-up match.
Over 19,000 fans came close to filling the 26,000 seat TQL stadium in Cincinnati, but Pulisic felt the American support was disappointingly low.
He told ESPN: ‘For whatever reason, I’m not super happy with the amount of Americans here, however that works out, if I’m being completely honest. But thanks to the ones who did come, and the support is always great from them.’

The home side took the initiative early thanks to first-half goals for Brenden Aaronson and Timothy Weah.
Morocco’s fate was then sealed with a late strike from the penalty spot for Pulisic’s former USA under-17 teammate Haji Wright on debut.
‘Haji and me go way back,’ Pulisic continued. ‘I think he needed that goal. He said he was confident to step up and take it, and I wanted him to get that confidence, and I’m glad he scored.’
‘I mean, it was a great win; we’re really happy. We started really well, got that early goal and yeah, just a really strong performance. It’s nice to be back in America and playing again.’
