Chelsea ‘want to sell four players in next 48 hours’ as Pochettino clears decks
Chelsea are hoping to sell four players this weekend, according to reports. Mauricio Pochettino is attempting to offload the quartet of stars before they return for pre-season on Monday.
Chelsea have already seen several high-profile players leave the club this summer. Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic have all found new homes in the Premier League.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante have moved to the Saudi Pro League, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic have both joined AC Milan. Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta also left on a free transfer and has returned to Spain to sign for Atletico Madrid.
But that will not be the last of the departures at Stamford Bridge. The Evening Standard claims there are four more players who could be on their way within 48 hours.

Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi both spent last season out on loan. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a hugely frustrating first campaign in west London, while Hakim Ziyech has seen two transfers fall through in the last six months.
The report says Chelsea told each of those players they did not have to report for pre-season training last week and instead were given a return date of this coming Monday. But the club want to sell all four before then.
Chelsea fly to the USA for their pre-season tour on the same day and the quartet are not expected to travel. Lukaku was back on loan at Inter Milan last term and talks continue with the Blues over a permanent deal for the Belgium striker.

The 30-year-old struggled with injuries and lost his starting spot to Edin Dzeko as Inter reached the final of the Champions League. Lukaku will likely have to reduce his wage demands in order to make a permanent return to the San Siro.
Hudson-Odoi is attracting interest from London rivals Fulham after his season at Bayer Leverkusen. The same report says the Cottagers are confident of completing a deal for the winger.
Ziyech failed a medical earlier this window after a deal was agreed for him to join Saudi club Al Nassr. His move to Paris Saint-Germain also collapsed in January due to paperwork not being completed in time, but Chelsea hope to conclude his exit soon.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang is reportedly attracting interest from Ligue 1 side Marseille. The former Arsenal captain started just five Premier League matches last season.
