Chelsea ‘to go all out for Harry Kane’ as Mauricio Pochettino appointment nears

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly expecting a huge bid for Harry Kane from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Tottenham ace is expected to make a huge decision regarding his future at his boyhood club in the summer, with Spurs set for another season of failure and the forward having just one year remaining on his contract.

Among Kane’s rumoured suitors are Manchester United, who are eager to sign a top striker in the summer transfer window.

But a report from talkSPORT has now claimed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is expecting a substantial offer from the side’s London rivals Chelsea.

Figures in the region of £100million have been touted for the Spurs and England skipper – a colossal sum for a player who is set to turn 30.

Yet that is the minimum amount Todd Boehly will have to fork out to attract a rival club's talisman, especially given the fact the Blues have spent similar sums for the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Mykhaylo Mudyk of late.

Kane’s stance on the cross-London move is unknown given how important the player’s Tottenham legacy remains for him. A move to Stamford Bridge would leave a bitter taste in the mouths of the Spurs faithful towards a player who recently became the club’s all-time leading goal-scorer.

But Chelsea still have an ace up their sleeve with regards to the potential appointment of Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane played 242 games under Pochettino at Spurs and the pair share a special bond thanks to their five years together. The Argentine was in charge of the north Londoners during some of Kane's most successful years as the side reached a Champions League final and put the pressure on in the league.

As such, Kane’s future could now hinge on how Boehly’s negotiations with Pochettino go in the coming week.
