Chelsea learn Ziyech transfer on verge of collapse before financial deadline
Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech’s proposed transfer to Al-Nassr is at serious risk of collapse after the Saudi Arabian side reportedly raised concerns over a knee problem during his medical examinations. It’s the second time in six months the Moroccan has experienced complications trying to depart Stamford Bridge after his loan switch to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed in the final hours of the January transfer window due to paperwork complications.
PSG are also understood to have flagged an issue with Ziyech’s knee when he underwent his medical in France but the European giants were prepared to proceed with the move following a second opinion.
Now Foot Mercato are reporting that Ziyech’s switch to Saudi Arabia now looks unlikely as Al-Nassr have huge doubts as to whether they want to push ahead with the deal.
They have already agreed an £8million fee with Chelsea, who are eager to get the move finalised today as they prepare to submit their 2022/23 financial records.
Because of Chelsea’s excessive spending since the arrival of Todd Boehly, every departure is crucial to balancing their books as it will help their cause when they attempt to make further signings moving forward.

Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs currently on UEFA’s Financial Fair Play watch-list which is why departures are crucial before the June 30 deadline.
Reports in Saudi Arabia claim Al-Nassr have also had problems finalising a contract with Ziyech at their end.
Journalist Khaled Al-Rasheed tweeted: “Al-Nassr turns away from the contract with the Moroccan and stops the negotiations due to the lack of agreement on some items.”
There appears to be no way back for Ziyech at Chelsea as Mauricio Pochettino looks to put his own stamp on the squad he has inherited from Frank Lampard.
