John Terry has been commended for his classy gesture to a victim of horrific bullying.
A sickening video has gone viral on Twitter showing a young lad being bullied by a group of hooligans.
In the clip, the victim appears to be punched repetitively and also kicked in the groin in a despicable series of events.
A tweet revealing the horrifying abuse has received over 7,000 retweets and was captioned: “We need to find out who these repulsive bullies parents are.”
And it has caught the attention of former Chelsea captain Terry, who was left revolted by the incident.
“This is heartbreaking,” he replied. “It has actually made me feel sick!
“If anyone knows this young boy that is being bullied please let me know.
“I would like to invite him to a @ChelseaFC match and to give him one of my signed shirts and armbands.”
And Terry’s response has garnered its own reaction on social media, with one user replying: “Makes me feel sick. The boy is only a little older than my boy.”
Another said back: “Brilliant. You already were a legend on the pitch & you are proving to be one after retirement.
