Chelsea fans spot detail they think ‘proves’ Mount’s goodbye is weeks old

Chelsea fans have been left fuming after Mason Mount 'kept his goodbye video in his drafts' but they might just be wrong.

Mount appeared in his exit speech before his move to Manchester United is officially confirmed – with his hair in a bleach blonde style.

However, the 24-year-old was seen earlier in the day in Manchester with his natural brown locks, with left Chelsea fans fuming.

They claimed that Mount's hair must have grown out over the course of weeks – but he was actually spotted at a charity event on June 26 with the bleached do.

A Chelsea fan account had said: "Mason Mount today at Carrington vs Mason Mount’s goodbye video to Chelsea fans today. It’s been in his drafts for weeks the weirdo."

A second added: "His PR team tried their absolute best till the last moment to make everyone believe he wanted to stay."

A third posted: "Don’t really think he helped himself with that goodbye video can’t even lie."

Kai Havertz, who left Chelsea for Arsenal earlier in the window replied with crying emojis, with Brighton's Billy Gilmour posting blue hearts.

Speaking to his Instagram followers, the midfielder confirmed what supporters already knew by admitting that he had decided to leave the club, with terms over his £60million Old Trafford switch already agreed.

Mount began: "Hi Chelsea fans, given the speculation over the last six months, this may not come as a surprise to you.

"But it doesn't make it any easier to tell you that I've made the decision to leave Chelsea. I feel you deserve more than just a written statement, so I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I've been for all of your support over the last 18 years.

"I know some of you won't be happy with my decision, but it's what is right for me at this moment in my career.

"I joined Chelsea when I was six years old and we've been through a lot together. Winning the youth cup, my player of the year awards, Super Cup the Club World Cup and of course that unforgettable night when we won the Champions League."
