Chelsea fans slam Mason Mount’s ’embarrassing’ TikTok as the Blues finally win

Chelsea star Mason Mount received a grilling for appearing in a "embarrassing" TikTok.

Mount joined YouTuber and presenter Amelia Dimoldenberg in making a short clip for her social media which saw the pair dancing at the Blues' Cobham training ground. The England international busted a number of moves, including hitting the griddy and the chicken dance.

Many fans weren't happy with the clip, which was uploaded before he missed Graham Potter's side's 1-0 win against Leeds at the weekend through injury. One disgruntled viewer questioned: "Lmaooo Mount what are you doing?"

A second simply slammed: "Embarrassing." A third joked: "Not sure which I’d rather in our midfield to be honest."

"This is bros best performance this season," quipped a fourth, while a fifth similarly jibed: "Mason Mount highlight of the season."

A sixth sighed: "Mase I can’t keep defending you my man." And a seventh said: "Yeah. He seems locked in to turning things around. And we wonder why the team is failing. It's not Potter."

Others came to Mount's defence, however. One argued: "When a player is in bad form people starts hating him for every damn reason. I mean there's nothing wrong with this video, he's just having some good time."

Another echoed: "We’re at a point now where Mount will get hate for everything he does." One claimed: "Biggest difference between football and sports like American football or basketball are the fans."

And one pleaded: "Bring Mount to Liverpool man. These Chelsea fans have a problem with everything. If we can save someone from a vile fanbase we should."

Mount has fallen out of favour under Potter in recent weeks after a largely underwhelming season in which he has just three goals and two assists to his name in the Premier League.

He looks set to be on the chopping block this summer, when there will be just 12 months left on his contract. Having failed to sign a new deal to date, Liverpool have emerged as early favourites to sign him.
