Chelsea fans have been left puzzled after reports linking them to the £60million signing of Everton winger Anthony Gordon emerged.
As reported by Sportsmail, the Blues have had four approaches for Gordon knocked back by Everton but the Londoners are continuing to test Everton’s resolve to hang onto their academy product.
Having had a £45m plus £5m add-ons proposal rebuffed, Chelsea are now willing to offer a guaranteed £50m with a further £10m in add-ons for the 21 year-old.

Blues supporters have taken to social media to vent their frustration at the possible transfer
Chelsea fans took to social media to vent their frustration and many believe Callum Hudson-Odoi is a better player than Gordon.
One fan tweeted: ‘#CFC signing Anthony Gordon from Everton for £60m whilst Callum Hudson-Odoi grows restless on the bench is bizarre from Chelsea. A ludicrous amount of money being spent, and a waste of talent wanting to leave.’
Another wrote: ‘Chelsea could save their £60m and give Gordon’s game time to Hudson-Odoi. Odoi is a much much better player.
‘Same way they could have saved £100m and given Lukaku’s minutes to Tammy.’
‘Don’t sign Gordon! He has only 4 league goals last season, Odoi has 4 league goals in 5 years, keep him even if he’s not performing!’ a third Chelsea fan said.

A fourth fan mirrored similar views as he wrote: ‘Chelsea are mad. Hudson-Odoi & Barkley are literally better than Gordon and play zero minutes, why do they need Gordon.’
A move to Chelsea will hand Gordon the chance to play Champions League football and boost his England senior prospects, having worn the Three Lions from under-18 up to under-21 level.
Should the signing go through before next Thursday’s deadline, he would become Chelsea’s sixth summer signing after Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casdei and Gabriel Slonina.
Thomas Tuchel’s side slumped to a 3-0 defeat to Leeds over the weekend but they will be hopeful of returning to winning ways when they face Leicester on Saturday.
