Chelsea chief Petr Cech is a massive fan of Eduardo Camavinga, who has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer. The Rennes ace’s agent is in talks with the Blues as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Chelsea are ready to gatecrash a transfer for Camavinga despite heavy interest in the Rennes star from United.

Solskjaer is keen to bolster his squad and has already landed an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho but he is not waiting around.

Further plots are already in the pipeline, with Camavinga eyed along with Raphael Varane of Real Madrid.

But Chelsea are also ready to ramp up their efforts to sign the 18-year-old, who has been tipped for stardom and linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

With one year on his contract, Rennes have had to dramatically reduce their transfer valuation to around £25m.

One advantage the Blues have over United is the fact that their sporting director Cech is a well-renowned figure at the Ligue 1 outfit – his club before Chelsea.

And French football expert Juiien Laurens has explained how the former goalkeeper is a huge fan of Camavinga.

“Huge opportunity for those four clubs, but I don’t think Real Madrid are really in it,” Laurens told MAH YouTube channel about Camavinga’s transfer situation.

“So we’re probably looking at PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

“There has been no offer from these clubs, but they have all been talking to Jonathan Barnett [Camavinga’s agent].

“Petr Cech is a huge fan, and of course, he came from Rennes and still has a lot of friends there.”

Chelsea are looking to bring in a striker as a top priority this summer while a midfielder and a defender is also on Thomas Tuchel’s wish list.
