Chelsea are reportedly planning to open talks with Inter Milan over goalkeeper Andre Onana when they discuss Romelu Lukaku’s future next week.
With Onana impressing in Serie A, as well as helping Inter to the Champions League semi-finals, his stay at the club could be set to conclude with a summer departure.
Lukaku, who joined Chelsea from Inter in the summer of 2021 for £98million, went back to his former team on loan at the start of the season.
However, the Belgian striker has struggled for consistency at the San Siro and he has missed significant periods of the season through injury.
The 29-year-old wants to stay at Milan for another season on the current terms of his loan deal from Chelsea, according to The Evening Standard.

Inter have an agreement with the Blues to keep the striker for the same £7million loan fee and £165,000-a-week in wages.
But the Italian outfit are under financial pressure, having recorded losses of €784m (£694m) over the past 10 years and they have an annual operating loss of about €150m (£133m).
The report also says Chelsea will express their interest in Onana as part of a swap deal for either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy.
Arrizabalaga’s stay with Chelsea has so far been a turbulent one, but after a long spell out of the first team, he has found himself preferred more often this term to Mendy between the sticks.
Onana has been one of the standout performers in an up-and-down season for the Nerazzurri.
The 27-year-old has offered a dependable option at the back having arrived only last summer on a free transfer from Dutch giants Ajax, where he spent seven years.
In 33 outings in all competitions he has kept 15 clean sheets, including in the final of the Supercoppa, the first leg against Benfica, both clashes with Porto, a Milan derby win and a 1-0 victory over runaway champions-elect Napoli.
Sixth-placed Inter Milan halted their five-match winless run in the league with a 3-0 win at Empoli featuring two goals from Lukaku.

It comes as Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to become the next Chelsea manager – and the deal could be done within days.
Mail Sport revealed the former Tottenham boss held further talks with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy on Tuesday as he nears a Premier League return.
Now talkSPORT report Pochettino’s appointment has moved a step closer with Chelsea hoping to have a deal wrapped up by the end of the week.
The 51-year-old Argentine has been out of managerial work since being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.
