Chelsea and Everton ‘join SIX-team tussle for Torino striker Andrea Belotti – with AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Roma and Napoli also plotting a summer swoop for the Italy star’ as his deal approaches its final 12 months

  • Andrea Belotti has attracted interest from six of Europe’s biggest giants
  • The Torino striker’s contract expires next year and doesn’t look like extending
  • Chelsea and Everton are the latest teams to join the race for the Italy forward
  • Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Roma and Napoli also want to sign him this summer

Chelsea and Everton are reportedly in the race to sign Torino’s sought-after striker Andrea Belotti.

The Italy international only has one year remaining on his current contract and there has been no movement in talks in recent months.

Belotti has scored regularly in Serie A for the past five years, with his goals this season proving crucial in Torino’s fight against relegation.

Andrea Belotti could leave Torino this summer with six teams, including Chelsea, interested

The striker has scored 12 times to help push Torino five points clear of the drop zone and has attracted significant interest around Europe.

According to Tuttosport, Chelsea, who have previously been linked with a move for Belotti, are one of several teams considering a summer swoop for him.

Thomas Tuchel has thrown down the gauntlet to Timo Werner to try and convince him that he doesn’t need more firepower up front amid the German’s struggle to improve his awful record of just five goals in the Premier League all season.

But if Tuchel comes to the conclusion that he needs to sign a new striker, Belotti is one who he could make a move for.

The Italian publication also claim that Everton are ready to rival Chelsea, AC Milan, Roma, Napoli and Atletico Madrid for Belotti’s signature.

Torino have been urged by their club legend Roberto Cravero to tie Belotti down, with the ex-defender saying ‘selling him would be a sign of weakness’.

However, there is little optimism of that happening at the minute and with only 12 months left on his current deal, Torino could be forced to part with their most important player this summer.

Belotti would not be short of potential suitors should he decide to seek new pastures, with Milan said to be the favourites out of the six teams interested in him.

The 27-year-old is a regular in the Italy national side and has the chance to put himself in the shop window with the striker set to lead the line for Roberto Mancini’s men at this summer’s European Championships.
