Chelsea accept Newcastle bid for Lewis Hall as Todd Boehly utilises FFP tactic

Chelsea are understood to have accepted a bid from Newcastle for talented teenager Lewis Hall. The 18-year-old revelation was one of only few positives at Stamford Bridge last season as he forced his way into Graham Potter and Frank Lampard’s first-team setup after continuing to impress within Chelsea’s Cobham academy ranks.

The highly-rated prospect featured nine times in the Premier League last season and his performances evidently left an impression on Newcastle boss Eddie Howe.

That’s because The Telegraph are reporting that the Magpies have now agreed a fee with the Blues for Hall, who can play either in midfield or at left-back.

Hall will move to St James’ Park in a package worth up to £28m including add-ons.

The youngster will also sign a long-term contract on Tyneside that will be valid until the summer of 2029.
