Carragher shares hilarious picture of Neville as Liverpool beat Man Utd 7-0

A furious Gary Neville could not hide his disgust as he watched Manchester United get hammered 7-0 by fierce rivals Liverpool whilst he sat alongside Jamie Carragher at Anfield.

United conceded six goals in the second half after completely falling apart despite a close-fought first 45 minutes where Liverpool had only just edged their way into the lead. Two goals apiece from Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah saw Liverpool run riot before Roberto Firmino completed the scoring late on to mark United's biggest ever defeat in their history.

Watching from the gantry, Neville was seen largely shaking his head in dismay as Liverpool continued to add to their humiliating tally. Slumping in his seat after Nunez had grabbed the fifth, Neville could barely watch any more, while Carragher took his moment to embarrass his Sky Sports colleague.

The former Liverpool legend grabbed a quick selfie with a completely fed up Neville staring blankly at the camera as Carragher beamed with delight before he shared it to his followers on social media. Neville eventually lost patience with Carragher when Liverpool had made it seven.

"You might lose 2-0, you might lose 2-1, you might lose 3-0, but you DO NOT lose 7-0 here. You just don't," Neville said.

"You do today," Carragher quipped, before Neville replied: "DO ONE."

Neville had been infuriated by the manner of United's display, particularly with captain Bruno Fernandes, who he branded a "disgrace" for his behaviour. Fernandes had signalled to the bench questioning why he was not being substituted at 6-0 as Marcus Rashford was taken off instead.

"Bruno Fernandes is stood in the centre circle with his arms raised saying why isn’t it me coming off? Honestly, I have to say that some of his behaviour in this second half has been a disgrace," Neville fumed.

Carragher couldn't help but put the boot in further, sharing Man Utd's tweet announcing their defeat, which included a graphic containing the score, but it wasn't written as part of the tweet. "They’ve not put the score up," he wrote, followed by several laughing emojis.
