Callum Hudson-Odoi appears to have picked up an injury in Chelsea’s draw against Manchester United.
The Englishman was taken off after 45 minutes in the 0-0 stalemate at Stamford Bridge, struggling to cope with Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw.
Some fans were left worried that manager Thomas Tuchel was unhappy with the midfielder, repeating the stunt from last week’s draw against Southampton.
But images have now emerged from west London which show Hudson-Odoi nursing an injury on the bench.
The 20-year-old was seen wearing a large bandage across his left thigh as well an ice pack.
Chelsea’s young star hit headlines during the 1-1 draw against the south-coast side earlier this month, brought on at half time only to be subbed off again 31 minutes later.
It was initially unclear whether he had sustained an injury on the south coast, but the Chelsea head coach soon confirmed that was not the case.
And Tuchel went on the attack at the forward in a spiky post-match interview, saying: “We brought in Hudson, but with Hudson I was not happy with the energy, the attitude and counter-pressing, so we decidied to take him off again, because we demand a lot.
“We demand 100 per cent and I got the feeling he was not right in this shape that he could help us.
“So it’s a decision for today. For the players I know it is hard to come on and off.”
But the pair reportedly ironed out their differences in clear-the-air talks, which led to him getting the start against United.
Hudson-Odoi was involved in another controversial moment, though, amid a handball claim in the first half.
With Marcus Rashford powering a free kick towards goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, the Senegalese shot-stopper punched it out.

And the midfielder appeared to accidentally handle the ball inside United's penalty area.
Referee Stuart Atwell waved play on before being called to check the VAR monitor almost three minutes after the initial incident, despite the match having continued.
Players crowded the official at the monitor, before he decided the game should continue without a spot-kick.
It also saw Tuchel get into a angry state at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – but the United boss was “trying not to laugh at him”.
