Burnley ‘win Twitter’ with incredible Breaking Bad unveiling for new signing

Burnley’s audacious announcement for Denis Franchi has ‘won Twitter.’

The Clarets cleverly used one of the key moments in Breaking Bad to show off their new signing.

It’s the scene where Hank Schrader, a DEA agent, finally realises that it’s his brother-in-law who is the drug kingpin he’s been chasing after picking up a book with an incriminating message inside.

The scene uses a flashback where an unwitting Schrader jokingly asks Walter White – the main character and criminal mastermind – if he is the elusive Heisenberg as initials – W.W – a match that found in a book which he believes to be a gift to the felon he’s been chasing.

It comes back to the present day, with Hank on the toilet with the book in hand. It’s at this moment in the America TV show that it dawns on him that Walter is indeed the man he’s been after.

“Who the hell do we think that is? Duncan Ferguson? Diego Forlan? Denis Franchi….”

In the flashback, Franchi stares sternly before raising up his hands which are in goalkeeping gloves and says: “You got me!”.

And the comments have flooded in online. One wrote: "Burnley have won Twitter today. Outstanding." Another stated: "The best thing to come out of this transfer window will be the burnley announcement videos." A third stated: "Burnley just casually pumping out 10/10 announcement videos for the fun of it."

Indeed, Franchi has signed for Vincent Kompany’s side, joining from Paris Saint-Germain. The Italian spent three seasons in Ligue 1 and has now made the move to Lancashire, as the side look to fight for promotion this season. The teenager told the club’s official website: “I’m so happy to be here. It’s a new chapter for me, which I can’t wait to start.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, my new teammates, the staff, and the new journey ahead of me at Bu
