Bulked up Fernando Torres pumps iron with Prem icon looking more hench than ever

At his ferocious best Fernando Torres was one of the most devastatingly nimble attackers in the world, which is why footage of him looking absolutely shredded just doesn't look right.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker has been hitting the gym, hard, and uploaded an impressive workout video of himself pumping some serious iron to his Instagram earlier this week – and truth be told, he's seriously hench.

His incredible new physique first caught the eye of fans last year, and the Spaniard shows no signs of slowing down as he's seen working up a sweat on various rowing, cycling and running machines.

His enormous arms and chiselled chest are a far cry from the boyishly slim player he used to be, but with his playing days now behind him, Torres has obviously found the time to bulk up.

The 38-year-old, who coaches Atletico Madrid's U19 team, hung up his boots in 2019 following a year-long stint with Japanese outfit Sagan Tosu.

He scored just under 300 goals over the course of his glittering 19-year career, lifting the three biggest cup competitions in the sport; the Champions League, the European Championship and the World Cup.

He burst onto the scene with boyhood club Atletico in 2000 and was appointed team captain aged just 20. A £20m move to Liverpool in 2007 sparked the hottest years of his career, with Torres ripping Premier League defences apart for three-and-a-half seasons before jumping ship to Chelsea in 2011.

His stint at Stamford Bridge was a miserable one in terms of goals, but he did play a significant part in the club's Champions League and FA Cup victories in 2012 and their Europa League triumph the year after – sealing the first of just four major trophies over the course of his club career.

In 2014 he joined AC Milan on loan before sealing a move back to Atletico 12 months later, before later seeing out his career in the far east.
