Bournemouth fan ‘so rattled’ by Leeds 4-3 defeat he forgets it’s Bonfire Night

A Bournemouth fan got so carried away with his rant against Leeds that he seemingly forgot Bonfire Night was on.

The Back of the Net YouTube channel was interviewing a fan outside Elland Road after witnessing their side lose 4-3.

The interviewer said to his guest, in what's now become a viral clip: “We didn’t change much and we scored in the second-half.” This was then proceeded by a large bang from a firework.

The host continued, saying sarcastically: “Fireworks, by the way, at Leeds for beating Bournemouth 4-3. Massive club.”

And some have taken to social media to suggest the supporter had been so ‘rattled’ by the loss in Yorkshire he forgot what night of the year it was.

One wrote: “I don’t get why you’re not allowed to celebrate a win in this day and age.” Another said: “It's bonfire night you pleb.” A third wrote: “Wait until they see the party we have on December 31st.” A last one wrote: “So many rattled” along with laughing emojis.

But others have claimed that not all is as it seems, and in fact, the interviewer was cracking wise.

One wrote: “Don’t fall for it. It was clearly a joke if you watch the whole video.” Another added: “ It was a joke!!”

In any case, the Premier League saw one of the games of the season as the Cherries were handed defeat for their troubles heading up to the north.

Leeds fought back from 3-1 down to beat Bournemouth in a remarkable game, following on from their win over Liverpool last week.

Rodrigo scored from the penalty spot before Marcus Tavernier's volley and Philip Billing shot past goalkeeper Illan Meslier put Bournemouth ahead.

Dominic Solanke made it 3-1 in the second half to the away side before Sam Greenwood and Leeds captain Liam Cooper made it 3-3. On 84 minutes Crysencio Summerville scored to give the Whites all three points.
