Bournemouth have agreed a deal with Dynamo Kiev for defender Ilya Zabarnyi, the PA news agency understands.
The 20-year-old, who had also been linked with Aston Villa, is now set to undergo a medical in the hope of completing his transfer before the Tuesday night deadline.
Zabarnyi would become the Cherries’ fifth signing of the January transfer window and arrives after a loan deal for Roma left-back Matias Vina was secured on Monday.

The 20-year-old may not be a household name in the UK but he has proven himself in Ukraine while playing for Dynamo Kiev.
Zabarnyi has featured 25 times for Dynamo this season – with five of those appearances coming in the Europa League.
Zabarnyi has also established himself as a mainstay in the Ukraine national team – making his debut for his country at the age of just 18.
Zabarnyi has gone on to collect 24 caps for Ukraine and even started in his side’s 4-0 defeat to England at EURO 2020.
The 20-year-old’s performance for Dynamo Kiev saw him attract interest for several clubs, including Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City.
However, it appears Bournemouth have won the race to Zabarnyi’s signature as the youngster is said to have agreed at £24million deal with the Cherries.
He is set to undergo a medical on Tuesday afternoon before finalising his move to the Premier League side.
Should everything go according to plan, Zabarnyi will become Bournemouth’s fifth signing of the January transfer window.
They have already signed Semenyo for £10m, Dango Ouattara for around £20m and Darren Randolph on loan.
