Ben White ‘struggled to mix with team-mates’ before furious World Cup bust-up
Ben White's departure from England's World Cup camp came after an alleged spat with Steve Holland – but he had also failed to integrate with his international colleagues.
The Arsenal defender has flourished in the Premier League this season under Mikel Arteta to catch the eye of Gareth Southgate, but things turned sour in Qatar.
Having agreed to leave the squad after being criticised for not doing research handed to him before the group game against the United States, other details have emerged.

Daily Star Sport understand that White became unhappy in the England camp and struggled to mix with his fellow team-mates.
Three Lions stars have looked jubilant in each other's company in the main throughout the tenure of Southgate, with Bukayo Saka's spelling challenges delighting supporters this winter.
However, not everyone felt at home away from their club setting, with White's discomfort coming before the alleged row over information regarding opposition.
Following that revelation, White's quotes over his relationship with football resurfaced, with the 25-year-old not a fan of watching the sport.
"No I never watched football when I was younger, still don't now," he told Sky Sports.
"I just loved the game, I was always playing it – never watching it. So I don't know too much about older generations."
White was the second player to leave the camp in Qatar after Raheem Sterling, who returned to England after his family house was burgled.
With his family now safe, Sterling has returned to the Middle East to be with his colleagues and train before their quarter-final clash against France.
The winners of England and France will face either Portugal or Morocco in the semi-finals, with Argentina vs Netherlands and Brazil vs Croatia in the other side of the draw.
