Ben Foster has been told to "stick to YouTube" by football fans who couldn’t help but laugh at Wrexham as they found themselves 4-1 down at half-time against Swindon Town.

Wrexham started the season in dire fashion after they were beaten 5-3 by MK Dons on the opening day, and the Red Dragons’ fans would be forgiven for believing they’d turned a corner after they beat Walsall 4-2 in midweek.

But a nightmare first half was capped off by a second from Jake Young, with Swindon scoring four goals from just five shots on goal.

Young opened the scoring after 17 minutes before former Southampton striker Charlie Austin doubled the visitor's lead.

Jake Bickerstaff got one back for Wrexham but Daniel Kemp soon restored Swindon’s two goal advantage just two minutes later.

Fans turned their attention to former Premier League stopper Foster, with one fan saying on Twitter: “Keeper needs to stick to YouTube,” with a second quipping: “Can’t wait for the GoPro in goal vlog!”

A third fan said: “Stick that on for vlog,” whilst another fan mocked Wrexham’s chant for the former England international, quipping: “Super Ben Foster in goallll!”

Foster played 390 games in England’s top flight and even lifted the Premier League twice whilst at Manchester United, as well as being the Red Devils’ penalty shootout hero in the 2009 League Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur.

But his magical return from retirement at Wrexham has gone flat, with the 40-year-old conceding 12 goals in just three and a half games so far in the league.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney would have been following the game in horror, and wishing striker Paul Mullin gets back fit as soon as possible.

After a first half flooded with goals at the wrong end for Wrexham, it will take a mammoth effort to overturn the three goal deficit against a Swindon side who could climb as high as 3rd with victory in Wales.
