Bellingham must snub Premier League – even if Man Utd, City or Liverpool call

Jude Bellingham would walk into most Premier League teams because he’s a Rolls Royce footballer.
But the top six missed a trick by letting him go to Germany and they must be kicking themselves now.
Bellingham would walk into the Manchester City, Liverpool or Manchester United teams. He would rip it up at Arsenal or Tottenham.
But he should stay at Borussia Dortmund because they believe in him and he is playing every week. He’s in a good place.
I was blown away watching him against City. He knew everywhere to go. His game management was phenomenal.
It was like seeing an old head on young shoulders because to do what he’s doing at 17 is extraordinary really.
He was everywhere. He scored. He cleared one off the line. And his engine is incredible. But he wasn’t charging around like a headless chicken.
His closing down was controlled, composed. You never saw him dive in and you never saw anybody skip past him.
Usually you don’t see those things in a player until they’re in their late twenties and they’ve had 500-odd games of experience.
When you play someone that young in a big game like that they usually need an older head next to them to keep them in line.
But it was like it was the other way around because he was constantly demanding the ball and shouting at people to get in position.
I didn’t realise he was that good to be honest.
There must be teams in England who are gutted they didn’t go for him. But they will have looked at him and thought: ‘He’s too young to play for us.’

Now he’s bossing it in a Champions League quarter final so that just proves how wrong they were.
Respect to him for a taking a chance and going abroad. The kid doesn’t look out of place against the best in the business.
Dortmund are sitting on £300m-worth of players now with Bellingham, Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland.
But you watched that game and looked at Haaland and you wondered what all the fuss was about. If he doesn’t score, he doesn’t contribute much.
If you were a scout watching that game you’d see Bellingham and you’d be saying: ‘I’ve just seen a 17-year-old and we HAVE to go and buy him.’
The kid will have seriously given Gareth Southgate a major headache with his England squad with that performance.
But Gareth is very loyal and if Jordan Henderson gets back fit he will probably go to the Euros instead of Jude.

England are taking Declan Rice, Kalvin Phillips and Mason Mount. They are shoo-ins. And I don’t think Gareth will take five midfielders.
So whether Bellingham gets in probably depends on whether Henderson is fit enough.
He’s definitely ready though. He plays with no fear and to put in the sort of performance he did against City, in a game of that magnitude, is mind blowing.
Liverpool facing ultimate challenge vs Leeds
Liverpool have seven cup finals to get back into the Champions League – but West Ham can deal them a Hammer blow.
If the Hammers win at Newcastle they will be six points clear of Liverpool with six decent games to play because they have a nice run-in.
I’m not sure Liverpool can make it. They fell over the line against Aston Villa and have just gone out of Europe.
The problem is, it’s out of their hands. They could win every game and still not finish in the top four.
Chelsea have more chance than them too – they’re two points ahead and they are still in the Champions League so they have another potential route in.
It’s looking really, really dangerous for Liverpool. The pressure will be severely on them at Leeds on Monday.
They are missing a spark. And I think it’s the crowd. I couldn’t see them turning things around against Real Madrid without the fans in at Anfield.
There are teams who have blossomed without fans in and teams who have really struggled, and Liverpool have struggled.

Chelsea would welcome Hazard home
Eden Hazard could miss out on a reunion with Chelsea even if he’s fit – but they would take him back like a shot.
I’d be surprised if he plays when they meet Real Madrid in the Champions League semi finals. He’s hardly played all season.
And why would you change the team that beat Liverpool so comfortably? The wingers were both electric.
If Hazard ever gets back to the form he was in at Chelsea, he can cause havoc. But I just don’t see it.
Sometimes you need to start well when you make a big move and he didn’t, and it’s all gone downhill for him.
But Chelsea would take him back. No doubt. Before he left, he was on a different planet.
It’s sad to see him not doing it in Madrid. But they brought him in to replace Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals and he was never going to do that.
You wish Chelsea had a clause where they could take him back because you would do that all day long to see him back in the Premier League.
