Jude Bellingham ignored Chelsea fans calling for him to join the club ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 clash. The Borussia Dortmund star arrived at Stamford Bridge just hours after a reported meeting between his father and Real Madrid representatives at a nearby hotel.

Bellingham is widely expected to leave Dortmund in a big-money move this summer, with Chelsea reportedly among his suitors.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are said to be the frontrunners for the 19-year-old’s signature.

The Blues are considered outsiders with Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, given they have just splashed a British record £107million to sign Enzo Fernandez.

But supporters attempted to play their part in luring Bellingham to west London on Tuesday, urging him to join as he entered Stamford Bridge.

But he paid no attention, high-fiving some awaiting supporters on the other side of the walkway and cutting an ice-cold figure as he entered the stadium.

Dortmund are expected to demand around £135m to part ways with the England international at the end of the season.

According to Foot Mercato, Bellingham’s father met with Real’s director of international football, Juni Calafat, earlier on Tuesday.

The pair held transfer discussions at the Chelsea Harbour hotel, where Calafat presented Los Blancos’ project.

Bellingham would be the third high-profile midfield arrival in as many years at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Last summer, Real beat Liverpool to the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni, splashing £85m to lure the then AS Monaco star to the Spanish capital.

The year before, it was Manchester United who lost out as Eduardo Camavinga opted for a move to Real over Old Trafford.

Bellingham struggled to make an impact against Chelsea on Tuesday night as Dortmund lost their 1-0 advantage from the first leg, crashing out after a 2-0 defeat.

Raheem Sterling fired Chelsea into the lead after 43 minutes before Kai Havertz doubled the hosts’ advantage early in the second half.

Havertz was helped by VAR drama after missing the initial spot-kick. He was allowed to retake after the referee pulled it back for encroachment and made no mistake at the second time of asking.

Chelsea’s progression into the quarter-finals comes as a significant boost for Graham Potter, relieving him of pressure further after last weekend’s 1-0 win over Leeds United.
