Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman reacts to Man Utd and Man City transfer rumours
Man Utd v Man City: Carabao Cup preview
Kingsley Coman has broken his silence on links with the two Manchester clubs, claiming he is happy at Bayern Munich. The Frenchman has enjoyed a stunning start to his career, winning league titles in nine consecutive seasons, with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and now Bayern.
The 24-year-old played a key role in the Germans winning the Champions League last season, netting the winner in the final against his former club PSG.
Coman has been a long-term target for Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still on the lookout for a new option on the right-wing.
The United boss spent much of 2020 chasing Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, only to fail to meet their £108million valuation of the player.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola is also believed to be an admirer, but Coman has said, while he is flattered by speculation, his full focus on building a dynasty with Bayern.

“It’s good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence,” he said to SportBild.
“But I have a contract here until 2023, I’m just thinking of Bayern. It’s all good, I’m happy.
“I had the feeling that I could be used less often. I’m 24, that’s an age I have to play! Fortunately, my fear did not come true.”
Coman has remained a regular at the Allianz Arena, despite the arrival of former City forward Leroy Sane.
But he suggested that the strength in depth under Hansi Flick is driving all of Bayern’s players on.

“Leroy is very good, we play differently from City, he will only completely internalise our DNA. There’s four of us fighting for two positions, we’re team-mates, but of course, we all want to play as much as possible.
“At the moment I’m in a good mood, but maybe that will change in two months. Maybe then Leroy, Serge [Gnabry] or Douglas [Costa] will play. It is important that at least two of us are always in top form. “
He added: “We are young or in our prime, so we still have time! We can and want to defend the title. Between 2016 and 2018 Real Madrid won the Champions League three times. I am sure that we can shape an era with this team.”
Solskjaer is hoping to have Amad Diallo join the United first-team in the coming days, as he looks to make the right wing position his own.
The 18-year-old was signed from Atalanta on the final day of the summer window, but has been made to wait to meet his new teammates, due to work permit issues.
But after the win over Aston Villa last week, Solskjaer confirmed Diallo had received his passport, with the Norwegian excited to link up with the Ivorian.
He said: “I hope very soon he will be with us. I’m very excited about bringing him in. I think he’s shown a few times his qualities.
“Of course he has to learn to play in England, that’s a different level of football. We’ll give him time to develop and to express himself.”
