Aubameyang explains how private chat turned around Arsenal’s woeful form
Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has given an insight into the dressing room chat that has helped sparked the Gunners' recent upturn in form.
Aubameyang was on the scoresheet as Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-1 at the Emirates in the north London derby on Sunday afternoon.
Emile Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka also got in on the act as Arsenal thumped their arch-rivals in a dominant first half display.
Son Heung-Min netted a consolation for Spurs after the break.
Sunday's derby delight means Arsenal have now won three league games in a row since they capitulated in a 5-0 defeat to Premier League champions Manchester City last month.
And the Gunners have now banished memories of their dismal start by nudging ahead of Tottenham in the table.
Aubameyang revealed after Sunday's game that a dressing room inquest in the wake of the City trouncing has been the catalyst for Arsenal's recent revival.
"I think after the game against City it was time to have a chat between us players and this is what we did," revealed the Gunners hitman.

"We want to go forward and win games, this was important for us to make things clear and I think we are doing well right now and the feeling is good.
"It means everything, it means the world, we gave everything for them today, they pushed us, I can’t describe it, it’s an amazing feeling when you are a player and have fans like this, it’s really unbelievable."
Smith-Rowe ran the show for Arsenal, netting the opening goal before teeing Aubameyang to double the host's lead.
It was the latest in a catalogue of impressive displays from the Gunners young stars in their recent revival.

And Aubameyang was quick to praise his young team-mate's attitude when questioned on his spot as a role model, as well as hailing the youngsters superb opening goal.
"It’s quite easy when you have boys like this who always listen and always ready to learn so it’s really easy. I try to give them advice sometimes but it’s important that they feel free when they play and that’s what they did when they played and that’s why it’s amazing.
"I think it was a great goal, great action, Kieran give me the ball and I knew Emile would run I just have to follow then he gave me the cut back so well played to them.
"You know Arsenal can be proud of these boys because they are great guys doing well, I’m happy that my kids will grow one day to be like him."
