Aubameyang celebrates El Clasico win with former Barcelona team-mates
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns to Barcelona and joins his old team-mates’ dressing-room celebrations after their last-gasp El Clasico win – after being left off the Chelsea bench AGAIN in their Everton draw

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang spent Sunday evening taking in El Clasico at the Camp Nou after another weekend left out of the matchday squad for Chelsea.
The 33-year-old striker, who joined the west London club from Barcelona in the summer club, made his affinity for his former team clear as he joined in post-match celebrations in the dressing room.
In an Instagram story posted by Spanish forward Ferran Torres, Aubameyang, who was at the club for only seven months, is pictured in the thick of the festivities.
Torres captioned the story, ‘Grande’, meaning big or great in Spanish, tagging the out-of-favour Chelsea man.

By contrast, Aubameyang’s current club will have spent the weekend rueing missed chances following their 2-2 draw against Everton.
The Blues were on the receiving end of another last-gasp goal, fired in by Everton youngster Ellis Simms, the draw calling time on a mini-resurgence of form for Graham Potter’s side.
Wins against Leeds, Borussia Dortmund, and Leicester gave fans some hope of chasing European places as the season draws to a close.
But the points shared meant that the club failed to move up from 10th in the table.
Aubameyang has had a checkered spell in west London, after being drawn into reuniting with his former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel.
Within six days of the Gabonese international’s signing, Tuchel was given his marching owners by new owner Todd Boehly.
He has since struggled for playing time and spent long periods out of the squad altogether.
Aubameyang last made the matchday squad against Tottenham at the end of February, after a month out.

The last time Aubameyang made the starting XI was against former club Arsenal at the start of November 2022.
The Gabon captain will no doubt be eyeing a move in the summer transfer window should he stay frozen out of Potter’s squad, in a bid to recapture the form that saw him succeed at Dortmund and former club Arsenal.
During his time at both clubs, he scored a combined 233 goals in 376 appearances.
This season, he has scored once in the Premier League and twice in the Champions League, in a combined 18 games.
