Atletico Madrid join Fulham and Lazio in hunt for Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, as Antonio Conte looks to loan out players he deems surplus to requirements

Atletico Madrid are rivalling Fulham and Lazio in the race to sign Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon on loan.

The left-back can leave Spurs this summer and a host of clubs are vying for the Spaniard’s signature ahead of next week’s deadline.

And Atletico officials have opened talks with their Spanish counterparts over a deal for Reguilon.

Antonio Conte is keen to send players who are not part of his immediate plans out on loan

Discussions are progressing with the La Liga side, who are hopeful they can come to an agreement with Tottenham and the player.

Sportsmail understands Reguilon, previously of Real Madrid and Sevilla, is open to returning to Spain this summer.

However, the 25-year-old has a number of options – with Fulham and Lazio also in talks over a move for the full-back.

Harry Winks is another Tottenham player likely to move amid interest from Sampdoria

Tottenham are focussing their attentions on offloading players head coach Antonio Conte has deemed surplus to requirements this summer after successfully strengthening the squad with six new senior arrivals.

Spurs are hoping to find a new club for midfielder Harry Winks over the next few days, with Sampdoria interested in the England international.

They are next in action against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
