Arteta and Conte labelled "the Chuckle Brothers" after ‘shambolic’ losses
Jamie O'Hara has likened Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte to the Chuckle Brothers after Arsenal and Tottenham both suffered significant setbacks in the race for a top-four Premier League finish at the weekend.
Hours after Conte's Spurs fell to a 1-0 home loss to Brighton on Saturday, Arteta's Arsenal slipped to a third successive Premier League defeat away at Southampton. The result saw both hand the initiative to Manchester United as the battle to qualify for next season's Champions League took another dramatic turn.
A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick saw the Red Devils claim an unconvincing 3-2 win over basement club Norwich at Old Trafford to leapfrog the Gunners into fifth on goal difference and close the gap to fourth-placed Tottenham to a mere three points. Following this weekend's upsets, former Spurs midfielder O'Hara slammed both North London rivals for their slip-ups, branding them "the Chuckle Brothers".
Discussing the pair's plight with Arsenal supporter Laura Woods, Tottenham fan O'Hara said on talkSPORT: “What are we doing?! What are Spurs doing? What are Arsenal doing? We’re both a shambles!
“Does anyone want top four? I feel like this happens every season. The worst thing that’s going to happen is that Man United are going to get fourth!"
Woods added: “It’s like we’re holding the door open and saying, ‘You go’, ‘No, you go!’ And then Man United will just say, ‘Oh, go on then!'”

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan was in agreement with the pair, labelling all three teams fighting it out for a top-four Premier League finish as "mediocre" before raising concerns over Tottenham in particular due to their ability to "implode".
Jordan said: “We’ve got a real race for fourth spot between three mediocre sides. I think on the balance of probability, and I can’t believe I’m going to say this, I’m still going to make my case for Manchester United.
“It’s wide open again. Despite the fact they are c**p and the club’s in disarray, I can see a script where Tottenham can implode, because they’re capable of it. The 4-0 against Aston Villa, as compelling as it was, wasn’t really a final victory because Villa were very much in that game.”
