Arsenal are preparing a summer clear-out in anticipation of new arrivals as Mikel Arteta attempts to rebuild his squad ahead of the Premier League season.

The futures of Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun appear under consideration, with Arsenal reportedly willing to let one of the attacking duo leave, but not both.

The Gunners are also apparently prepared to listen to offers for midfielder Thomas Partey and Scottish full-back Kieran Tierney, according to the Independent.

Nketiah was effective in a bit-part role for Arsenal last season, scoring four goals in all competitions but only managing nine starts in the English top-flight.

The Englishman enjoyed a period of consistency in the absence of Gabriel Jesus who had his season disrupted by surgery, but the Brazilian’s return marked the end of Nketiah’s time in the starting line-up.

Eddie Nketiah could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer amid reported interest from other clubs

One of either Folarin Balogun (left) or Nketiah (right) will reportedly be allowed to leave Arsenal

He remains under contract until 2027, however Arsenal are apparently open to selling the academy star if they receive a suitable offer from bidding clubs.

Meanwhile, Balogun enjoyed a prolific season on loan at Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, scoring 21 goals in all competitions as Europe was put on red alert.

At just 21 years of age he is a rumoured target for Inter Milan but Arsenal are reportedly demanding a £40million fee for the striker who is yet to make a first-team appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side.

A permanent move away is the only outcome for Balogun unless he is guaranteed regular first-team opportunities at the London club next season.

While away on recent international duty with USA, the forward expressed concern over his future, stating:  ‘What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again. I’m not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place, I’m not sure what’s going to happen.’

The announcement of Partey’s up for sale status comes as a surprise given the midfielder’s importance in the team during their title challenge with Manchester City.

Kieran Tierney could be on his way out of the Gunners who will reportedly listen to offers

Midfielder Thomas Partey is another star that could depart with his future uncertain

The Ghanaian star joined the club from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and has since made 99 appearances for Mikel Arteta’s men, including 40 last season.

Mail Sport revealed that the Gunners are willing to listen to offers, while the player’s representatives have apparently held talks with the club to determine his status within the team.

A possible move to the riches of Saudi Arabia is one option amid reported interest from the mega-money league.

Tierney is another mentioned departee and has garnered interest from Newcastle as they look to strengthen ahead of competing in next season’s Champions League.
